Concrete Sealing, Epoxy and Urethane Coating
Concrete Sealing: Sealing concrete is a very simple and inexpensive task. The payback is immeasurable. Left unsealed, concrete will create dust. Action upon the surface of the concrete will form dust. In a sub-floor space that is pressurized, concrete dust will eventually make its way above the floor surface and into the hardware. We’ve found and removed concrete dust from sub-floors, perforated floor panels, floor surfaces, the backs of server fan shrouds, the tops of equipment cabinets and in CRAC unit air filters. Concrete dust can become airborne and find its way throughout a data center. Clearly, we recommend that you seal your concrete floors! Ideally you should seal your floors BEFORE you install your access floor system and before you turn on your HVAC system. However, it is possible to seal your floor after your access floor system is installed in a fully operational data center site. We have the knowledge and experience to do this for you. Cal us today to discuss sealing your data center concrete floors.
Epoxy and Urethane Floor Coatings in Mission Critical Data Centers: Epoxy and urethane floor systems are applied to many data center concrete floors; Especially in support spaces like Loading Docs, Generator Pens Switchgear and Mechanical Rooms. Containerized data centers can have their floors coated with epoxy and urethanes coatings. Many new data centers are being built without access floor systems. Racks and cabinets are installed directly on top of concrete floors. At a minimum, we recommend that these floors are sealed with the appropriate concrete floor sealer to reduce and eliminate dust. To take this a step further, why not apply a protective floor coating to your mission critical floors? We recommend and install epoxy and urethane floor coatings for floor systems that will offer performance, enhanced aesthetics and longevity. Often time, epoxy floor systems are combined with urethane top coats for enhanced levels of performance. Anti-static and conductive floor systems can also be installed.
